Course Description
One must realize that effective ministry is first of all; “internal,” which meaning that true ministry can only emerges from within, and then flows outward. Our Lord stated, “The Kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:21). Two things are plainly apparently when evaluating functional ministry, first; effective functional ministry is the result of strong internal biblical core values. And secondly, ALL ministry mishaps, misconduct, misrepresentation that leading to Ministry Failure are the result/s of improper internal preparation. This course is designed to address the most critical element of ministry, the spiritual formation of Minister (Regardless of their office)! The precepts & principles taught in this course are primarily focused to shepherding, or what may be considered Pastoral Ministry; however these precepts and principles are most applicable and essential to each of The Five-Fold Ministry Offices.
Rationale
The statistics are staggering approximately 1,700 pastors leave the ministry each month; over 70% struggle with depression, 50% contend with discouragement, 80% indicate that the ministry negatively affects their families, 70% have no close friend they can confide in, and 40% report a serious conflict with a church member. Less than 50% will last 5 years, 4,000 new churches begin each year while 7,000 churches close. With respects to what may be referred to as, “The Fivefold Ministry Office (Ephesians 4: 11-13); there is likewise no doubt untold statistics of Ministry Failure due to ill-preparation, i.e. the lack ministry integrity and NO mutual ministry accountability (Acts 13:1-3, 1 Corinthians 14:32-33, Romans 12:7)… Many remain in ministry because they feel unprepared to undertake other vocations. And, countless others have moral & integral failures which they carry silently in their hearts… This course is designed to strengthen ministry and Christian leaders so they can finish strong.
